Welcome to my Dominion!

Me at Hair Bare Studios, circa 1996...

Greetings, fellow inmates!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Walter Piecuch, and this is my humble little web page; which I designed and built with Microsoft Expression Web all by my little self. Yaaaaaay!!! Anyway, the main reason that I made this page was to provide some biographical information about myself and to explore the inner workings of my depraved little mind. The photo you see above was taken many years ago when my band Stalker went into the studio to record a demo tape. Oh, what crazy times we had! I have always been into music, movies, video games, and was quite an avid reader back in the day; but in recent years I have also gotten into computers, mountain biking, digital photography, animé, Japanese culture, and I also have a small collection of guitars. I'll get to those things later on, but for now let's go even farther back; shall we?

In the beginning...

On the first day of Summer back in the wild and wacky days of 1963, in an old fashioned neighborhood on the South side of Chicago, a child was born into a family of Polish descent; and he was christened Walter John Piecuch III. Having an older brother and sister had its' advantages and disadvantages, as any other "last born" could tell you. Like any other siblings we laughed, played, cried, and sometimes fought over silly little things like toys and such. Skipping ahead to '71, my parents divorced, mom remarried; and we moved into the great neighborhood of Garfield Ridge. Lots of other kids to run around with and parks to play ball in. Good times for all! Skipping ahead again to '81, we moved to a bigger house in Oak Lawn. It was then that I really started getting into music and learning guitar. I practiced as much as possible, learned as much as I could from every source available, and became quite proficient at it in a few years time. As the saying goes: "Time spent playing an instrument is never wasted time." And time always marches on!

From out of the Shadows and into the Light...

Several years and a few more moves later, I built up a band with a few friends of mine. Dual guitars, bass, drums, and a screaming lead vocalist. A formidable classic metal style five piece known as Stalker! We played the club scene for a while, recorded a four song demo, but after about 18 months together; we pretty much fell apart. Without getting into petty details, lets just say there was too much partying, lack of direction, personnel conflicts, way too much partying, etc. All the usual B.S. that a band goes through. Anyway, I decided to get away from that lifestyle and that kind of crowd and get my head on straight once and for all; and I've been living large ever since! I had been working in the printing industry for the last 20 years but am currently seeking a career change. I have been attending classes at Moraine Valley for the past year and have been maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Kudos to me! I hope to obtain my certificate in Web Page design A.S.A.P. and may also go for the A+ certificate in OS essentials. There is much more I'd like to talk about, but let's save that for another time. May good fortune shine upon you! P.S.: Don't ever take candy from strangers, unless they offer you a ride! Peace out!!
